Well this is going to be the unique marriage of the subcontinent as the bride belongs to India (famous tennis player) and the groom belongs to Pakistan (former captain of cricket team). Both the countries are considered the famous rivals since their creation. Whether it is a matter of sports, trade or politics etc, they can never be friends. Then the question arises, how Shoib Malik conquer Sania Mirza’s heart? Sania was earlier engaged to Sohrab Mirza, who was her childhood friend. The engagement ceremony was held with pomp and show. It is being reported that Shoib and Sania were in love for the past six months. Shoib Malik was also engaged to a girl named Ayesha Siddiqui. She has claimed to be the wife of former cricket captain. She has produced a marriage certificate and now thretens him to give her divorce otherwise she will bring him to the court.
On Monday, Sania’s father confirmed the news,”the couple will be based in dubai where Shoib is a resident and Sania will continue to play tennis. Once she recovers fully from the wrist injury that has marred her creer in the recent past.”

Sania also expressed her joy in these words,” my wedding is going to be the biggest day of my life. I have been under constant glare of the public for too long and would appreciate more privacy at this very personal moment in my life. I hope to be fully fit to represent India in the commonwealth and Asian games that are scheduled for later this year.”
Shoib has already given his consent to continje Sania her tennis career. He said,” I fully understand what it takes to be an international sportsperson and I will support Sania in her career as long as she wishes to play. Representing at 2012 olympics is very important for her and I will be the proudest husband if she can win a medal for her country.”
Sania’s father, who is her tennis coach too, commented on this marriage in these words,” this is a unique case where the husband and wife will represent their respective countries in sports.”
